This is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Shiva, located deep in the mountains near the Mandakini River. It is considered one of the holiest places in Hinduism. Because of its high altitude and remote location, reaching it requires a challenging trek through beautiful, rugged mountain scenery.
Tungnath is the world's highest Shiva temple, sitting at an altitude of 3,680 m (12,073 ft) in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, India. As the highest of the five sacred Panch Kedar shrines, it requires a moderate 3.5 to 4 km trek from Chopta
Badarinath Temple, also known as Badarinarayana Temple, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu.. A unique feature here is the Tapt Kund, a natural hot water spring where many pilgrims bathe before visiting the temple to pray. The temple is one of the 108 Divya Desams, sacred to Vaishnavism, where Vishnu is worshipped as Badrinath.
Embark on a spiritual journey through the sacred Himalayas. Below is the detailed itinerary for our upcoming pilgrimage from September 9th to September 16th, 2026.
Your journey begins with a private transfer from Thiruvalla to Cochin Airport, followed by a flight to Dehradun. Upon arrival, travel to the spiritual heart of Rishikesh to experience the serene Ganga Aarti at Parmarth Niketan Ashram .
Highlight: Evening Aarti experience.
Stay: Rishikesh.
Depart early in the morning for the scenic drive to Sonaprayag. If time permits, stop to visit the Triyuginarayan Temple, a site steeped in mythological significance.
Stay: Sonaprayag.
Today is dedicated to reaching Shri Kedarnath Jyotirlinga Temple You can choose to trek, take a horse, or book a helicopter (please note that personal travel expenses such as these are not included in standard tour packages). After your darshan, you will stay overnight in Kedarnath .
Highlight: Darshan at the sacred Kedarnath shrine.
Stay: Kedarnath.
Descend from Kedarnath back to Sonaprayag. If the weather, your health, and the timing allow, proceed to Chopta.

Embark on a trek to the Shri Tungnath Temple, Panch Kedar (also known as Tungnath Mahadev Temple, and continue higher to the Chandrashila peak for panoramic Himalayan views.
Highlight: Shri Tungnath Temple, Panch Kedar
Stay: Chamoli.
Travel from Chamoli to Shri Badarinath for temple darshan and Vishnu pooja along with satsang with Rawalji.
Highlight :Shri Badarinath
Stay: Badrinath.
Perform Pitrubali at Brahma Kapal, then visit Mana Village, Vyasa Guha, Shri Ganesh Guha, and the Saraswati River source. Continue your journey through Vishnuprayag, Karnaprayag, Joshimath, the Narasimha Swami Temple, and Rudraprayag.
Highlight: Brahmakapaal, Maanagaav, Vishnuprayag, Karnaprayag
Stay: Rudraprayag.
On your return journey, visit the sacred sites of Devaprayag and Vasishta Guha while traveling from Rudraprayag to Rishikesh. Continue to the airport for your flight to Kochi, with a final private transfer awaiting to bring you home to Thiruvalla. .
